Program Goals

The IExP shares the same overarching international exchange goals as other programs, which are to:

Contribute and promote innovation of global economic, technological and cultural communication in rural Cameroon by partnering with sister schools and communities.

Promote mutual understanding through exchange activity.

Specifically, the IExP is designed so that:

IExP students  acquire an understanding of global society and the role of information and communication technologies in the development of a global economy, including concepts such as self-sufficiency and the idea that global citizens can and do act on their own to manage and advance in their respective societies.

IExP students show willingness and commitment to serve as ambassadors for change in their countries after they return home by utilizing information and communication technologies to further their mutual interests for self-sufficiency and economic growth.

IExP students develop an appreciation for American and African culture.

IExP students interact with Americans and Africans to generate enduring ties.
